YogaOnboard offers practical tips on how to do yoga aboard any sized boat and never be without your exercise.

Now, I definitely don’t have any excuse not to be working out. With Kim Hess’ video and book from YogaOnbaord, I can be doing something healthy whenever and wherever and that includes when I’m off on a boat somewhere.

YogaOnboard offers a book and/or a DVD where Kim shows positions and how to use various parts of your boat as props.  In her day job, Kim teaches a variety of yoga including Hatha and Vinyasa and even yogic sleep (that sounds good).  Now Kim has combined her knowledge of yoga with her passion for sailing and created two guides for cruisers and liveaboards to keep up or even improve their strength and flexibility while never leaving their boats.

Kim’s video and book will make sure I’m stretching and de-stressing even in the cockpit.  And if you’ve ever sailed for 3 days straight in a quartering sea and used muscles you didn’t know you had, you’ll agree that a good stretching video or book is the next best thing to a sundowner at anchor.

Kim joined me as a regular on season 4 of Latitudes & Attitudes television so you can check out her tips there or order the book or DVD at her website – www.tropicyoga.com.  The book is $22.95 and the DVD is $19.99 but you can both as a digital download for about half that price.

That margarita will taste a lot better when your mind, body and soul are all on the same Zen plane so check it out and get moving.
